Hwa Jin Vegetarian Family Restaurant @ Bukit Batok

This vegetarian restaurant has been around for at least 7 years since I moved here. It started as a small stall but then it grew popular and now has its own restaurant. It is one of the shops under the HDB block at Blk 359 Bukit Batok St 31 #01-393. The nearest MRT station is Bukit Gombak. It is within walking distance, just follow the MRT track along the direction towards Chua Chu Kang. When you are closed to a pedestrian crossing (or a drain that has endless flow of water), you can cross the pedestrian crossing to the other side of the road. Walk up the stairs, turn left and after you reach a clinic, the restaurant is just a few steps away.

I like the vegetarian bee hoon which started selling in the morning. Sometimes, it is sold out before 11am. Occasionally, we have dinner here. They sell quite good dishes. Yesterday, I was here for dinner and below are the dishes that we ordered.

Lemon Chicken
Famous dish - must try (fried mushrooms)
Seaweed soup

Vegetables
We ordered three bowls of rice, one homemade barley drink and one soft drink and the total bill was $29. It was for two adults and one kid.

Went back to eat at this restaurant one week later, ordered the lemon chicken and fried mushrooms again. We added another two dishes, mini steamboat and oyster eggs. The oysters are actually mushrooms. Of course, the real oyster omelette is much better and the chili sauce is much better too.
